The board is well-designed, the silk-screen is clear, and the layout is very clean. It went together very easily. The only hitch was the positioning of the two trimmer capacitors. It wasn't obvious which way they should be seated but a quick look at the schematic cleared that up. Other than that, the assembly directions were quite clear.
On powering up, the transmitter worked right away. Alignment was as
simple as it gets (with or without test equipment) and the audio quality was fine. The range I got was about 40', though this depends on many variables. For playing vintage recordings on antique AM radios, you can't beat this kit.
