|This receiver tunes numerous stations loud and clear,..It's a great set and it was fun to build,(about one evening),,..the regen works very good and station tuning is easy with the geared down tuner...be sure to cut the plastic pin off of the front of the bandswitch pot, or drill a clearance hole in the cabinet for the pin, or the bandswitch won't seat to the inside front of the cabinet correctly and you could warp the switch,..Also,pay close attention to the toothed washer inside the front of the bandswitch pot during positioning of the circuit board inside the cabinet,,,.the pot is programmable with up to 12 positions, and you want to keep the pin seated in the "5" slot for 5 band selection on the radio after completion,,,All in all, a nice set.|

|I've built several of these kits, once in 98, and once in 05. The second time I built it, it was fantastic. I pulled in cw, and ssb real loud and clear on 20 and 80m. as for shortwave, it came in clear.|
It's a matter of getting the windings on the toroid done right, with the combination of a good antenna.
I plan on getting another one, they are a lot of fun.
In the future they'll be worth a lot.
Thanks to all the designers for keeping up an old look, with todays technology.
